Responsible for the Clinix Health Group procurement process, which includes all spend from Pharmacy purchases, medical equipment purchases, consumables, IT and miscellaneous items used within the group (current spend is approximately R700M). Responsible for the overall capex spend within the group. Accountable for the leadership of the business unit and site management committee (MANCO), which includes Nursing, Pharmacy, Finance, Human Resources and Technical/Maintenance Services Member of the Clinix Joint Management Executive Committee (JMC Board). Responsible for all procurement negotiations with vendors. Responsible for maintain and improving the current BBBEE status within the group, ensuring that the targets are met. Responsible for the price file maintenance within the group. Part of the tariff negotiating team with key stakeholders. Responsible for the improvement of the cost of sales line within the group.

Driving new business ventures and identifying new business stream lines in order to increase hospital occupancy and revenue. Further responsibilities include the collection of revenue generated is optimally. Development and implementation of the hospital strategy aligned with Clinix targets. Managing the financial indicators and drivers of the business which include, preparing annual funding estimates, forecasting the demand for services and allocating budgets.Participating in the promotion of occupational health and safety management within the hospital. Maintaining customer intimacy through building relationships with doctors and external providers to build patient and brand loyalty. Creating an environment where staff are aware of the role they play in the provision of quality nursing education and their value to the organisation. Responsible for all statutory requirements of the hospital.
