Development, implementation, and continuous improvement of our global CyberSecurity and IT governance framework, supported by my 25+ years of experience in the IT industry, with a blend of hands-on technical expertise, strategic thinking, and cross functional leadership. I lead our organization’s security posture, ensuring compliance with regulations such as NIS2, while strengthening IT General Controls (ITGC), information governance processes, and enterprise risk management practices. My responsibilities include security policy development, audit coordination, IT compliance oversight, and embedding a security first mindset across the organization. I enjoy bridging business, technology, and compliance - working closely with IT, Data, Finance, and Legal teams to ensure secure architectures, safeguarded data, and reliable operational controls. My focus is on building scalable governance models that support both innovation and protection across a growing global organization. I believe governance should be pragmatic and business aligned, creating lasting value - not just enforcing control. Alongside my security and governance leadership, I bring extensive experience in management and leadership, technical project management, IT operations, and cloud computing. Over the years, I have delivered complex, cross functional IT initiatives using adaptive, predictive, and hybrid methodologies across software development, business applications, and IT infrastructure. I have collaborated with geographically dispersed and multicultural teams, and I am fluent in multiple languages, including English, Danish, and Serbo-Croatian. Outside of work, I enjoy staying updated on emerging IT trends, such as quantum computing, and occasionally explore programming as a hobby.
In this global role, I am responsible for defining and driving the organization’s cybersecurity and IT governance strategy across all regions. I oversee the establishment and continuous improvement of Blue Phoenix’s security posture, ensuring resilience and compliance across our IT landscape. Key Responsibilities: • Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of global security policies, standards, continuity plans, and governance frameworks • Monitor, assess, and coordinate responses to security incidents, vulnerabilities, and compliance gaps • Mature the company’s IT General Controls (ITGC), ensuring alignment with internal and external audit requirements • Drive the organization’s NIS2 compliance program, including governance structures, risk assessment processes, reporting, and documentation • Act as the single point of contact for external auditors and support conducting internal audits across security and ITGC domains • Work cross-functionally (IT, Data Management, Finance, Legal & Compliance) to maintain secure architectures and ensure appropriate data governance • Lead company-wide security awareness initiatives and promote a security-first culture across the Group
As Global IT Technical Project Manager, I lead complex, cross-functional IT projects across regions, aligning business objectives with innovative IT solutions. I’m responsible for end-to-end project execution—from scoping and planning to implementation and delivery—ensuring efficiency, stakeholder alignment, and measurable outcomes. My role bridges technical teams and business stakeholders, driving global initiatives such as system integrations, infrastructure transformations, and digital modernisation. With a focus on governance, risk management, compliance and transparent communication, I work to ensure that technology delivers real value at scale. Following an organisational restructuring that led to the elimination of my previous role, I took a career break to focus on professional development and skill enhancement. During this period, I refreshed and deepened my IT technical competencies across several key areas and updated my project management knowledge to align with current best practices and methodologies. This time allowed me to re-energise, reflect on my career direction, and ensure I bring relevant, up-to-date skills to my next role.
