I strive to cultivate and preserve the cultural life of cities, and their communities' creative endeavours, through artistic collaborations, events, and performances.
Abrons Arts Center is a home for contemporary interdisciplinary arts in Manhattan’s Lower East Side. A core program of the Henry Street Settlement, Abrons believes that access to the arts is essential for a thriving city. Through performances, exhibitions, education programs, and residencies, Abrons mobilizes communities with the transformative power of art. https://www.abronsartscenter.org Similar to my role at Symphony Space, I maintain the physical and technical aspects of three theatres, two galleries, and numerous studios and rehearsal rooms alongside Programming, Rentals, and Education departments. We produce programming for all ages and bring the performances and installations of artists-in-residence to life over the course of their 1-2 year residencies. I provide technical intel to artists, renters, and collaborators and coordinate studio use, shop use, and production meetings to optimize their use of the 40000sqft facility. I thoughtfully hire audio engineers, lighting designers, carpenters, costumers, and technicians for a variety of public projects and performances that happen simultaneously.
