I am a hands-on AI Builder with both Data Science and Product Management experiences with a strong belief that data and technology should have real-world, tangible impacts. For me, that has led to opportunities where I am able to use AI and data to drive change in the sustainability sphere and for public good. At Terrascope, I build AI-enabled features end-to-end to help our enterprise customers measure and act on their greenhouse gas emissions. As both Data Scientist and Product Manager, I don't just write the specs - I also prototype the features, build the AI services behind them, and work with engineers to bring them to life. I also led Terrascope's EU AI Pact assessment through to signing up as a signatory and am fortifying how we incorporate safety and security considerations into all our AI use cases. I started at Accenture, learning to translate between technical and business audiences. I went deeper into the technical aspects as a data scientist at Data-Driven EnviroLab, leading several core improvements to the database as well as data collection processes behind the Net Zero Tracker. I also led data-driven climate policy research to understand how non-state entities contribute to global climate action, as well as built an R package designed to enable other researchers and policymakers to provide and harmonize climate action data. What I care about now is building responsible AI that reaches further - AI that's trusted, adopted, and pointed at problems that matter for the public and the climate.
- Led 0-to-1 development of AI-enabled carbon accounting reporting module as sole PM and Data Scientist: ran customer discovery interviews uncovering how enterprise customers run their internal review processes, demoed early prototypes to validate hypotheses, and successfully launched MVP - Built AI-powered disclosure drafting feature with RAG-based LLM generation, output-quality evaluation, and data-privacy and safety guardrails applied before launch; made deliberate architecture tradeoffs across compute, queuing, and embedding strategies to optimise for cost, latency, and user experience - Drove 2025 AI product roadmap for a cross-functional pod of 5: redesigned team operating model to reduce engineering dependencies by embedding UX engineer to frontload frontend development - Led end-to-end product discovery and delivery of supplier engagement module with module contributing to over 10% of new revenue growth of the year: engaged enterprise anchor customer directly to translate complex stakeholder requirements into a generalizable product design - Led Terrascope's official AWS technology partnership as engagement lead: identified highest value GenAI use cases and coordinated embedded AWS engineers with internal infrastructure teams to build a proof-of-concept cloud GenAI platform, and deployed a LLM-based NER pipeline on it to data analysts’ internal production workbench (AWS SageMaker) - Served as internal AI SME fielding customer enquiries on AI use cases and responsible AI: led Terrascope's EU AI Pact compliance assessment, becoming a signatory and initiating an AI governance framework for production systems - Led discovery and prototyping of a self-serve conversational AI assistant using agentic frameworks (AWS AgentCore, Strands Agents) to enable users to get insights from their data: ran user discovery and experimentation, agentic system output evaluation, as well as worked with MLOps engineer to define infrastructure requirements needed for production
- Led GenAI NER pipeline development end-to-end from problem framing and metrics design through model evaluation (Claude, OpenAI; precision/recall benchmarking) to Python pipeline development and deployment; achieved 50% reduction in downstream algorithm error rates, 10% data processing efficiency gains, and 40%+ analyst adoption within 6 months; I tracked adoption and efficiency in a Redshift (SQL) dashboard that informed further AI tooling investment. - Built a predictive text-classification model (Sentence-Transformers) in a data-sparse environment, using GenAI to generate labels and curate a golden dataset to accelerate time-to-value - Developed a climate document retrieval pipeline using LangChain orchestration: combining LLMs and bag-of-words techniques to surface decision-relevant documents from a large corpus, enabling access to climate data at scale - Turned user research into a marginal-abatement-cost (MAC) curve feature that gave clients a financial entry point into decarbonisation planning — adopted by 20–25% of clients.
- Led research project across three different organizations, structuring analysis and leading data collection across 10 different databases to understand progress and ambition of non-state climate action with report successfully launched and presented at COP27 - Served as database lead of the Net Zero Tracker, coordinating efforts to use NLP in automating data extraction workflow and leading improvements to overall database, increasing usability of tracker data and increasing efficiency of data collection - Oversaw strategy and design for data interoperability within the development of OpenClimate, an open-sourced platform aggregating and visualizing climate action and emissions across global actors - Researched and developed R package for entity-matching of cities, regions, and companies pledging climate action to improve accuracy of climate data attribution

- Led the development of an R package meant for streamlining the data cleaning workflow for climate action, with package and resulting datasets published on GitHub and in Nature Scientific Data - Managed the data workflow for analyzing net zero emissions targets of subnational and company actors, with results from the report highlighted by the UNFCCC during the launch of NYC Climate Week 2020
- Collaborated with other programmers to work on natural language processing (NLP) algorithms that improve fuzzy string matching and record linkage within our database of over 10,000 actors and packaging said algorithms into R package - Analyzed the effects of citizen generated transparency on urban water pollution in China using regression analysis and co-authored a peer-reviewed research article based on the analysis submitted to the Journal of Environmental Planning and Management - Modeled the contributions of non-state actors to global climate action with a dataset of over 10,000 climate commitments, co-authoring a report featured by multiple news outlets and informing deliberations at the Global Climate Action Summit - Collaborated with other programmers and data scientists to create interactive and engaging data visualizations highlighting relationships between urban environmental indicators and social inequities, subsequently creating an R package to enable efficient plotting of visualizations
