Having research and clinical works experiences in National University of Singapore (NUS), National University Hospital (NUH) and Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH) performing various technical roles for research studies had provided valuable insights. Those insights are effectively applied on current job scope of grant administration predominately NMRC (~S$17million) so as to help speed up administrative and operations issues within National University Heart Center of Singapore (NUHCS) and external research collaborators both local and overseas. I am currently upgrading and adding on my skillset by pursuing Master of IP and Innovation Management in order to promote and speed up deep technologies to innovation to commercialization. Currently actively involved in training on how to spin off a company and is also involved in the actual spinning of the company using one of existing intellectual property that our research group had developed actively seeking experiences in IP management opportunities.

    Primarily involved in administrating management of NMRC grants such as Central Grants (~S$13 million) StaR award (~S$5 million), IRG (~S$1.47 million), CSA (~S$670,000) and drafting of grant variation, extension, and ensures that spending are per accordance to budgeted specifics and within the stipulated deadline for both studies.     SMART – ACS is a multi-site research study with sites at Hong Kong, Sarawak, New Zealand, and Singapore. Mainly involved in coordination of research sites, recruitment and lab activities. • Recruitment for SMART – ACS and BioBanking studies. Recruitment numbers tally up close to 200 patients. • Coordination of multiple regional sites by compiling data, recruited patient numbers. Recruitment numbers for all sites tally up to 600 patients. Also ensured that research supplies do not fall short for respective sites and helped to troubleshoot workflow in terms of clinical, laboratory, purchasing and data entry • Performed site initiation in National Heart Centre and Hong Kong. Besides setting up research equipment, I provided training to site coordinator and ensured that the site’s facilitates were to the study’s requirement. I have also done site monitoring for Hong Kong and Sarawak to make sure that the respective sites are performing as per what the study required. • Helped to coordinate annual Investigator’s Meeting with delegates from Hong Kong and Malaysia Seconded to National Heart Center (NHC): SMART – ACS is a multi-site research study. When one of its local research sites, NHC, ran aground, I am sent to ensure continuity of the site using my experience at National University Hospital. • Recruitment of patients for SMART – ACS Study • Refining Workflow for recruitment of patients so as to hit target number. • Data entry and follow-up calls for recruited patients. • Ensure study compliance with SingHealth’s Centralised Institutional Review Board (CIRB) • Organising and setting up Co-PIs and PIs for scheduled study meeting.
