As a research assistant at Sunway University, I apply my skills and knowledge in robotics and drone operation to support various research projects and initiatives. I hold a remote pilot certificate of competency basic (RCoC-B) with an extended visual line of sight (EVLOS) module, which enable me to conduct drone operation in a safe and professional manner. I have been working as a research assistant for over two years, and I am currently pursuing my master's degree in computer science by research at Sunway University. I also have a bachelor's degree in computer networking and security from Sunway University and obtained Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) certification. I have also successfully completed my bachelor’s degree capstone project titled “Design and Development of a 3D-Printed Drone.” I am passionate about exploring the latest trends and innovations in robotics and drone technology, and I aim to contribute to the advancement of these fields through my research and publications.
Assisted in the development of the Library Shelf Reading Robot, with a focus on autonomous navigation, scanner arm control, and system integration using Robot Operating System (ROS). Contributed to the implementation of Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM) for indoor navigation, ensuring accurate localization and robust mapping of dynamic library environments. Conducted research and experimental validation on navigation algorithms, path planning, and sensor data fusion to improve the robot’s efficiency and reliability. Assisted in the Mangrove Conservation Project using drone technology, serving as a student pilot and participating in hands-on drone training in Malaysia and Japan. Obtained professional drone pilot certifications (RCoC-B & EVLOS), enabling safe and compliant drone operations for ecological monitoring and research purposes. Engaged in interdisciplinary research combining robotics, automation, and environmental technology, contributing to both academic and practical advancements. Participated in the UROCK Legged Robot Race by developing a quadruped robot and competing in the racing event. Collaborated with Aerosense Inc. to facilitate comprehensive flight training for the Malaysian Army and Navy, ensuring operational proficiency of VTOL UAV assets.
