LL.M. candidate in Intellectual Property Law at Zhongnan University of Economics and Law, with a research focus on the arbitrability of IP disputes in international commercial arbitration. Recipient of the Chinese Government Scholarship (CSC) for joint training at Université de Montréal under Professor Gérald Goldstein, where I pursued comparative research on private international law and intellectual property. Internship experience spanning international arbitration, cross-border litigation, and IP practice, including positions at Qinhuangdao Arbitration Commission, Hengqin People’s Court (Greater Bay Area cross-border cases), AllBright Law Offices, and a Canadian immigration law firm. Served as arbitral secretary at the 2021 FDI Moot Asia-Pacific regional selections. Competed in the CIETAC International Commercial Arbitration Moot, earning a national third-place award. Working on the research project: “Private International Law problems in matters of Intellectual Property". Consulting the database to find relevant material in matters of international aspects of intellectual property. Read and analyze case law, legislation, international conventions, and doctrinal articles with a comparative perspective to write a comprehensive report.
Dealt with judicial assistance for over 20 cross-border disputes involving the Mainland, Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan. Assisted in property preservation procedures, including document drafting and coordination with enforcement departments. Observed courtroom proceedings and helped write more than 30 judgements and mediation statements, establishing a deep understanding of the judicial process in the Great Bay Area(GBA).
Conducted legal research; drafted and reviewed memoranda, legal briefs, pleadings, defenses, and other legal documents. Assisted attorney with administrative duties such as internal filing and reimbursement processing.
Identified contributors for the Comparative Law Yearbook of International Business(Kluwer) and Smit & Herzog on the Law of the European Union, evaluating their proposals and manuscripts, and undertaking the initial editing of manuscripts. Served as a tribunal secretary for the FDI Moot All Africa Regional and South Asia Regional. Attended remotely the 74th session of UNCITRAL Working Group III with the director.
