JvM NERD curates a new pop culture for a new generation - by creating cultural relevance fueled by fandom, community-centricity & technological innovation. With special focus on bridging and managing brand collaborations & fandom cultures. As Global Business Director, Martin Zhang consults brands on assets, licenses and partnerships across Gaming, Anime, Science-Fiction, Cosplay, and communities. Client list includes the likes of The Pokémon Company, MINI, Haribo, Nintendo, cosnova, IWC Schaffhausen, Bandai Namco. Prior to Jung von Matt, Martin was responsible for the China market entry of Bundesliga football club Borussia Dortmund (BVB) and the expanding of BVB's brand presence across China, Korea and Thailand. Appointed as the first BVB representative in China, Martin activated partnerships with global brands such as Puma, Evonik and EA Sports and regional brand partnerships & oversaw the social media strategy of BVB in China; he served as PMO for the BVB Legends vs Liverpool FC Legends match and set up the esports strategy of BVB in Asia.
