I am a historian of science and I am currently writing my dissertation on the horticultural practices and religion in early modern Europe and the Ottoman Empire. I study flower breeding practices, technical know-how and the cosmological background of cultivated flowers in Istanbul to Amsterdam from mid-sixteenth century to the mid-eighteenth century. My research interests include the History of Gardening and Religion in Early Modern Europe and the Ottoman Empire; Labor and Craft Knowledge; Production of Natural Knowledge; Early Modern Science and Medicine; Early Modern Europe; Environmental History; History of Medicine and Race. Currently, I served as the Managing Editor of the Journal of Middle East Women's Studies, where I led the editorial cycle, oversaw peer review processes, and enhanced our digital outreach. Through collaborative efforts, our team has streamlined publication workflows, ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality, insightful content. With a strong foundation in communication and research, I am dedicated to fostering a culture of academic rigor and collaborative scholarship aligned with the journal's mission.
