Greater Houston
I am a seasoned U.S. Navy veteran with over a decade of experience in personnel administration, strategic communication, and international operations. A Texas native and proud graduate of the Class of 2004, I enlisted in the Navy in 2006 and began my service after completing Personnel Specialist “A” School in Meridian, Mississippi. My early assignments included supporting multiple commands out of PSD Mayport, FL, where I was entrusted with personnel services for ships such as the USS Farragut, USS Groves, and USS Gettysburg. I was honored to be hand-selected by the Commanding Officer to deploy aboard the Gettysburg for BALTOPS 2008 in the Baltic Sea. In 2009, I reported to Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron Nine (HSC-9) in Norfolk, VA. There, I earned meritorious promotion to PS2 and later served as Leading Petty Officer for the squadron’s administrative department. I deployed to Haiti in 2010 for Operation Unified Response and again in 2011 aboard the USS George H. W. Bush with Carrier Strike Group TWO, where I served as deputy disbursing/pay officer under Admiral Nora Tyson. These deployments took me across the Middle East, Europe, and North Africa, broadening my global perspective and operational insight. Following active duty sea service, I transitioned to high-level support and protocol positions in Washington, D.C., managing diplomatic documentation for the Inter-American Defense Board (IADB) and College (IADC) under the Organization of American States. From 2013 to 2018, I was privileged to serve as Navy Flag Officer Writer for two Admirals—becoming the only Personnel Specialist qualified to hold both NECs 2514 and 2905 concurrently. This role involved extensive travel throughout Europe, the Americas, and the Caribbean, fostering cross-cultural collaboration and executive-level communication. As a Navy Reservist assigned to information and intelligence operations with the Chief of Naval Operations, I maintain a strong interest in geopolitical trends, environmental systems, and civic direction. I’m also a passionate advocate for animal welfare, conservation, and sustainable practices—including fishkeeping and agriculture. Beyond military service, I’ve held leadership roles in the private sector, including assistant and acting manager at Safe Harbor Walden Marina on Lake Conroe, TX, where I played a key part in its transformation. Today, I serve as an administrator, scheduler, and staff/client coordinator at Family Solutions USA in Houston, TX—supporting critical community work with clarity, empathy, and purpose.
