Strategic finance executive and CPA with 17+ years of experience spanning nonprofit executive leadership, public accounting, advisory, and operational finance within complex mission-driven organizations. Combines deep technical accounting expertise developed through more than a decade in nonprofit audit and consulting with executive-level experience leading enterprise finance operations, treasury, reporting, systems, and organizational infrastructure for a major private foundation. Currently serving as Senior Vice President of Finance at the Howard G. Buffett Foundation, where I oversee enterprise-wide finance and accounting operations across multiple entities, including treasury and liquidity management, executive financial reporting, long-range financial modeling, systems/process optimization, internal controls, and operational finance strategy. Prior to joining the Foundation, I spent over a decade in public accounting serving nonprofit organizations, foundations, associations, and federally funded entities - most recently as an Assurance Director at BDO. My background combines deep technical accounting expertise with strategic finance leadership, operational execution, and a strong focus on building efficient, scalable, mission-driven organizations. I am particularly passionate about: • Finance transformation and systems/process improvement • Strategic financial planning and operational sustainability • Treasury and liquidity management • Building high-functioning teams and organizational infrastructure • Supporting mission-driven organizations through thoughtful financial leadership Outside of work, I serve on nonprofit and school-related boards, am a former professional basketball player, and a longtime advocate for mentorship, education, and continuous learning.
