I was responsible for donor outreach for various events during my time at the ODP. This experience taught me how to strategically communicate with potential donors to maximize the likelihood of donation. Organizing the ODP's donor records online and in person gave me valuable experience with Google Workspace. I was also the ODP liaison for former AG Eric Holder at his fundraising appearance with the ODP.
Complied daily press clippings ranging from client to world news for my colleagues. Conducted research and complied memos for the firm/clients. These briefings were on a range of topics including but not limited to policy issues, proposed laws, candidates, and political developments. Strategized ways for clients to effectively communicate with donors and the government. Attended meetings on behalf of the firm relating to national political efforts, campaigns, and more. Participated in Democratic fundraising at the highest level.
Assisted Ulster County Democrats and the Pat Ryan campaign in voter mobilization, canvassing, phone banking, donor research, and organizing campaign events. This campaign work resulted in producing my first campaign advertisement, as well as becoming proficient in donor research. Engaged in two weekly virtual seminars; one led by Jamie Raskin featuring experts discussing democracy-related topics like voter restrictions and media polarization, while the other facilitated networking and collaboration among scholars nationwide to address such issues.
