After successfully working to grow our pharmacy by over 4 million dollars, becoming a finalist in the 2019 Guild Pharmacy of the Year awards, then selling our pharmacy for three times the industry average multiple, I now use these experiences, my knowledge and the latest tools and resources to help amazing health entrepreneurs and business owners improve their workflows and processes, using automation to add value to customers, and ultimately acting as the community hubs they can be. I do this by providing bespoke solutions to healthcare professionals and their teams focusing on 5 main elements: 1. Mindset 2. Leadership 3. Planning 4. Sales 5. Marketing For health professionals and entrepreneurs to better serve communities and truly fulfill their vocation of helping people, it is crucial that healthcare businesses are running like well-oiled machines. As a result, I help put the right people, processes, systems and technology in place so that health professionals spend less time on administrative tasks they were never interested in doing in the first place, and instead have more time to deliver real value to their patients and achieve better business performance, and best of all, a better work-life balance.
As a mentorship partner at TerryWhite Chemmart Stafford, I bring together everything I’ve learned from my journey as a former award-winning pharmacy owner and my work in business coaching, strategy and consulting. I work alongside my partners, our leadership team and our incredible people to grow the business in a way that stays true to our purpose, reflects our values, and supports the long-term vision we’re building together. My role is all about guidance, capability building and creating space for others to step up and lead — whether it’s through one-on-one mentorship, strategic conversations, or shaping the culture we show up to every day. We’re not just here to dispense scripts. We’re building a business that matters — one that’s a trusted pillar in our community, and part of a broader movement within the Vytal Health family to lead with heart, scale with intention, and leave a meaningful mark on the lives we touch.
Working with industry leaders from all over Australia and internationally, the Advisory Board met regularly to discuss, plan and provide feedback on the strategic direction of Strong Room A.I. directly to the executive leadership team. The role specifically focused on products and services relating to Community Pharmacy, Aged Care and Hospital in an effort to maximise the benefits of the platform throughout the Australian health ecosystem, and together we worked on solutions to deliver tangible outcomes and practical actions, all in service of Strong Room's purpose and mission - to reduce adverse drug events globally.
Founded by award winning pharmacists Karen Brown and Zamil Solanki along with a prominent pharmacy accountant, Felicity Crimston, the Innovative Pharmacy Group launched in 2018. Their mission is to deliver unique and meaningful content using both online and offline mediums through a platform of collaboration with innovative and passionate Pharmacy Owners to inspire growth of their businesses, and to empower the industry as a whole.
The future of pharmacy in Australia is extremely volatile. With the Government forever looking at ways to save money, and turning to Proprietors to bear the brunt of this, we need to look at strategic systems and efficiencies in our workplace. Pharmacists are expected to do more now, then ever before. Furthermore, many customer expectations of us are harsh. They expect that we perform all the duties we have trained to do in a few minutes. These include but are not limited to; check the accuracy of the doctor's work, ensure the therapeutic need is being addressed following all principles of Quality Use of Medicines (QUM), ensure that the medication is safe for the patient and counsel the patient on it's correct use. This all takes time - none of which we have anymore. That's why I'm a massive advocate for forward dispensing - and true forward dispensing at that utilising automated systems. By interacting with the patient at the same time as checking and dispensing their medication, you are able to ensure you provide the best possible service and advice all at once. At the end of the day, it is the patient that benefits the most our of this - the simple fact that they get to speak to a pharmacist with ease. Pharmacists are primary healthcare professions. We are the most sought after health professional for health advice. As an industry, we cannot forget this and must ensure our role in the landscape of our industry remains prevalent, not only to ourselves, but to our patients, doctors, all allied health and the Government.
