Hi, I’m Zak! I'm an MSc student aspiring to build a career within professional football, with a passion for coaching, player development, and performance environments. I currently coach within the Southampton FC and Eastleigh FC environments, where I have worked with players across a range of age groups and development stages. My aim is to deliver engaging, challenging sessions that support both the technical and personal development of players. I’m a strong believer in developing the person before the player. Creating positive environments where young athletes can build confidence, values, and transferable skills is something I care deeply about. Alongside coaching, I enjoy connecting sport with my Christian faith. I’ve had the opportunity to lead a Bridge The Gap Football site in Southampton, focusing on building genuine relationships with players and supporting them beyond the pitch. During university, I also co-led a Christians in Sport group, creating a space where student-athletes could connect, share experiences, and grow in their faith together. I’m always keen to learn from others within the football industry and connect with coaches, analysts, and practitioners who are passionate about developing players and people.

Lead coach of one of the U8s squads. Responsibilities: - Organise and plan training sessions in line with the curriculum - Develop capabilities of the players - Create a safe and fun learning environment to allow for questioning and understanding - Develop people as well as players
For Laverstock and Ford FC, I look after the Veo on match day, providing instant replays if required and take notes on elements of the game that the coaching staff want to discuss later. Outside of the match, I re-watch games, clip different areas that fit with the coaching team’s needs and requirements. I give my opinion on how these can be improved and give suggestions to overcome problems within games. Along with this, I also help when other staff are not present. This includes warming up the GKs, setting up the pre-match warm up/activation.
