Zachary is an international lawyer, based in London and Los Angeles with particular expertise in U.S. litigation, international arbitration and litigation finance. In 2022, he was recognized as one of the 100 Global Leader Leaders in Litigation Finance. Zachary is Managing Director of Legal Assets at NorthWall Capital, a London based private credit fund with over $1.5b in AUM. Zachary has nearly two decades of experience in international disputes and has been recognized as a Global 100 Leader in Litigation Finance. Prior to joining NorthWall, Zachary led with legal assets strategy at Signal Capital Partners and was a Senior Investment Officer at Woodsford Litigation Funding in London, where he helped oversee the growth of its US and international disputes portfolio. Zachary was previously a trial litigator at the Los Angeles headquarters of the global disputes firm Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan, where he focused on the trial of complex commercial disputes and international matters. He was also an associate at Shearman & Sterling in New York and clerked for the Honorable Shira A. Scheindlin in the Southern District of New York. He has additional expertise in the legal ethics of artificial intelligence, art & antiquities law related matters and international human rights.
Zachary is Managing Director of Legal Assets at NorthWall Capital, a London-based private credit fund with over $1.5 billion AUM. NorthWall approaches legal assets from a private credit lens, with a focus on diversified and downside protected opportunities that still produce uncorrelated upsize returns. We work with law firms, corporates and claimants on a global basis to provide flexible capital solutions delivered transparently and efficiently. We also work closely with traditional litigation funders to on co-investments, secondaries, and debt facilities.
Zachary led Signal Capital's strategy in litigation finance and legal assets through a joint venture SLF Capital Limited. Signal Capital is a London asset management firm with over $2.5b AUM.
Zachary was a Senior Investment Officer at Woodsford Litigation Funding, where he focused on potential investments in U.S. litigation, Latin American disputes, and international arbitration matters. Zachary has extensive trial litigation experience, having represented both plaintiffs and defendants in a wide variety of commercial disputes in state and federal courts in the United States, as well as in international proceedings. He has particular expertise in intellectual property disputes and technology related matters, complex business litigation and competitor disputes, government contracts and whistleblower actions, art related matters, transnational litigation and international human rights litigation.
Zachary Krug was a senior trial associate in Quinn Emanuel’s Los Angeles office. At Quinn, his practice focused on complex litigation and he had significant experience counseling foreign corporations and individuals in litigation in the United States. At Quinn, Zachary had particular expertise regarding transnational litigation, international human rights litigation, government contracts/regulatory affairs and the commercial litigation funding industry. He also represented domestic clients in federal and state court trials on a wide variety of commercial disputes, from intellectual property and theft of trade secrets to breach of contract and employment matters.
