About

I work at the intersection of the learning sciences and faculty development, with a focus on digital learning. I bring over two decades of experience across Pre-employment Training (PET), Continuing Education and Training (CET), Higher Education (HE), healthcare, and defence contexts, where I have led and shaped technology-enabled learning and professional learning at programme and institutional levels. As a learning sciences researcher, my work examines how pedagogical principles are interpreted and enacted by learners and educators, and how technology-mediated learning designs can surface and shape epistemic sense-making in practice. This includes designing and enacting learning environments that support pedagogical change, and examining how educators’ professional judgment and beliefs are shaped by the sociocultural and material conditions of their practice. I have led work in blended and online learning, generative AI in teaching and learning, and professional learning for educators, while teaching across PET, CET, pre-service teacher education, and postgraduate programmes. I hold a Master’s degree in Education (Learning Sciences and Technologies) and a PhD in Education (Learning Sciences). I am particularly interested in the pedagogical potential of emerging technologies in education and in translating research-informed principles into scalable teaching and learning practices. My leadership is guided by my CliftonStrengths Top 5—Maximiser, Strategic, Connectedness, Activator, and Futuristic—reflecting a strategic and forward-looking orientation. I support educators and institutions in navigating pedagogical change through evidence-informed uses of learning technologies and praxis-oriented professional learning.
