As Purchasing Manager in K–12 public education, I oversee Districtwide procurement, contracting, and compliance functions that support instructional programs, student services, district operations, and public works initiatives. My role focuses on ensuring procurement and contracting activities are strategically aligned to support the effective delivery of services for students, staff, and the broader district community. My responsibilities include administration of consultant and professional services agreements, memoranda of understanding (MOUs), University affiliation and internship partnerships, non-profit, and student service agreements, competitive solicitations, formal bids, CUPCCAA procurements, and public works contracting. I ensure procurement activities are conducted in accordance with California Public Contract Code, district policies, and applicable regulatory requirements. I work collaboratively with District leadership, program departments, vendors, non-profit partners, educational institutions, and legal stakeholders to develop procurement strategies, structure agreements, manage contractual risk, and maintain compliant and efficient purchasing processes.
