Managing all aspects of quality and warranty issues related to sales of components sold by gasoline systems to all German OEM's worldwide. This includes solving 0-milage and field issues, negotiation of recall claims, initiating and driving quality initiatives to reduce no-trouble-found ratio. Developing new procedures for testing components, feeding back field expertise into specification for next generation components, initiate and drive continuous improvement programs. Leading a team of technical experts including divisional quality champions.
Responsible for the QM-System of the plant including process and system audits (ISO TS 16949), leading an analytical test lab to conduct product audits. Development of new test procedures and hardware, responsible for root cause analysis of 0-milage claims of oxygen sensors. Ensuring safe product launches, responsible for PPAP for more than 200 different customers word wide, maintaining a close network for Q-related issues within the worldwide manufacturing network, initiate and drive continuous improvement programs.
Leading several projects within the fuel cell program e.g. with Royal Dutch Shell in order to use synthetic fuel as a source to convert into hydrogen on board a vehicle or developing an fuel cell APU (auxiliary power unit) for the D.o.D.
Leading a team for development and testing of fuel cell powered prototype cars in the U.S. under the roof of the California Fuel Cell Partnership with major OEM customers.
