About

Translational retinal scientist completing a PhD at UCL Institute of Ophthalmology under Dr Colin Chu, with an honorary clinical research fellowship at Moorfields Eye Hospital. I specialise in three areas: - Spatial immune profiling — IBEX multiplex iterative immunolabelling on cryo and FFPE retinal tissue. - Multimodal ophthalmic imaging — in vivo AOSLO and SS-OCT/OCTA, cross-correlated with ex vivo flatmount and confocal imaging for single-cell-level analysis. - Biomarker discovery — bridging molecular, cellular, and imaging readouts to identify candidate translational biomarkers across uveitis, AMD, diabetic retinopathy, and inherited retinal disease. Recent publications include co-first authorship in JCI Insight (2026) on a spatial proteomic atlas of the human and mouse retina, and co-authorship on Nature Communications (2026) and Science Translational Medicine (2025). Background: MSc in Translational Neuroscience, Imperial College London. BSc in Applied Medical Science, Swansea University.
