With over 20+ years of experience in planning and managing asset and infrastructure projects, as well as developing and delivering engineering education programs, I am currently managing asset and planning at Whyalla City Council. Prior to this, Manager Engineering and Maritime at Southwest TAFE, Australia. In this role, I serve as a subject matter expert for developing future fuel (Green Hydrogen) VET programs. Previously, I was the Planning and Programme Manager at Fire and Emergency New Zealand, where I led the National Headquarters property team in developing and delivering key initiatives for the national property portfolio. My core competencies include strategic asset roadmap development, CAPEX and P3M delivery management, building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and workforce development. I hold a Master's degree in Engineering Research, am a certified Disciplined Agile Senior Scrum Master (DASSM), possess a Post Graduate Diploma in International Business, and am a member of the Institute of Directors New Zealand and Engineering New Zealand. I am passionate about sharing my asset management and engineering expertise with young professionals and mentoring them to achieve their goals.

o Leading the National Head Quarter property team in developing a Centre of excellence for policy, strategy, standards, systems, and processes for the national property team along with planning and delivery of key programmes including the seismic, asbestos, non-reticulated water supply and exhaust fume management programme, renewable and carbon zero. o Working at a strategic level with the National Property Manager to plan, oversee and facilitate the delivery of the Fire and Emergency New Zealand’s capital expenditure programmes o Working collaboratively with Regional Property Team Leaders as part of the Property Leadership Team to ensure effective and efficient delivery of the property programme and other property services. o Lead and steer the different stakeholder’s interest and mitigate roadblocks and conflicts. o Providing management, guidance, and support to team members to develop and maintain a high performing team o Proactively leading the translation of ideas into customer focused design solutions, asset standards and workable end to end holistic programs. o Conduct regular stakeholder engagements to ensure their thoughts, ideas, learning’s, and requirements are incorporated into programme management plans. o Ensuring the national property portfolio maintains compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements. Property acquisition and disposal o Assisting the ELT with the development of the procurement strategy for contractors, consultants, client supply items and strategic resources as required. o Ensuring Health and Safety standards are prioritised and upheld throughout the project delivery and risks mitigated through the design change process o Together with the National Property Manager, managing strategic relationships with outsource suppliers, service providers and contractors and internal FENZ stakeholders. o Ensuring FENZ policy with respect to procurement, financial and supplier management are always rigorously adhered
