A Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist in SharePoint configuration and installation, I am well versed with all aspects of Microsoft 365 and SharePoint and can confidently manage, configure, and maintain a SharePoint farm. I'm also a diverse and experienced developer with a solid programming background and good experience with development, databases and enterprise level CMS systems and SQL databases. I am organised and reliable with excellent customer and user facing experience and a solid ability to understand user needs to deliver functional ICT solutions.
Working as part of a small team I migrated the existing Document Management System (DM6) to SharePoint 2013, I was heavily involved in the design, implementation and maintenance of the new on premise SharePoint 2013 farm where a large part of my role involved advising the firm on the best ways to utilise the technology and overcome issues. As part of the migration from the old DMS, I was involved in planning and executing the various migrations, ensuring that data integrity was maintained from one system to the next. As the solution for migration is very bespoke, I was often expected to react and quickly overcome problems and rapidly develop, test and implement small scale solutions, from SharePoint event receivers, to PowerShell scripts and full C#, .Net applications. With SharePoint now in place and may other platforms and technologies being introduced that all integrate or utilise SharePoint in some way, I am heavily involved with many projects ensuring the farm is capable of handling the various other systems that are interfacing with it. A lot of this involves maintaining existing solutions and ensuring the farm scales according to the needs and requirements of the business, such as re-architecting the search service to ensure maximum availability and performance. I am also required to work with users and third parties as we develop and evolve systems to meet the demanding needs of the business and clients. Apart from maintaining the SharePoint farm, I am also involved in the development of SharePoint solutions, from writing custom developments, to managing contractors and junior developers. I am also versed in K2, and have been developing K2 solutions that integrate with SAP and other systems and are usually front ended in our SharePoint environment.
