- Responsible for the design and development of all sheet-metal components of refrigerator products, including side and top panels, door sheets, compressor brackets, hinges, hinge reinforcements, rear covers, and cabinet bases. - Manage the full lifecycle of parts and tooling: create CAD models and technical drawings using Creo Parametric, review Bill of Materials (BOM), and coordinate prototype, tooling, and mass-production phases. - Handle new tooling projects, including quotation collection, supplier coordination, and approval of tool design and manufacturing. - Achieved approximately €300K in cost savings through production improvements, material selection, and redesign of parts. - Conduct alternative sheet-metal material studies to improve durability and reduce raw-material costs while maintaining quality standards. - Collaborate with Quality, Manufacturing, and Procurement teams on process and quality improvement projects, incorporating field feedback and warranty data. - Perform benchmark analyses of competitor products to identify best practices and improvement opportunities. - Monitor and verify BOM accuracy, supporting error-free production and purchasing processes.
- Responsible for two main refrigerator assembly lines, the door polyurethane foaming section, and plastic production teams (extrusion & thermoforming), ensuring smooth and efficient manufacturing operations. - Managed a workforce of approximately 500 operators and technicians, handling workforce planning, shift scheduling, and line balancing to maximize productivity and quality. - Played an active role in the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) project, supporting the deployment of production traceability and data-driven process control. - Participated in audits and operational reviews (internal and external quality/compliance inspections), ensuring adherence to standards and fostering continuous improvement. - Advanced the WCM – Autonomous Maintenance pillar in the plastics department to Step 6, strengthening a culture of proactive maintenance and operational excellence. - Collaborated with R&D and Quality teams on raw material optimization and alternative material studies, driving cost savings and enhancing product performance. - Monitored key production metrics and worked closely with quality, maintenance, and planning departments to achieve output, safety, and OEE efficiency improvement goals — increasing OEE from ~70% to 90%. - Contributed to process improvement, scrap reduction, and cost-optimization initiatives, improving overall manufacturing efficiency and reliability.
