I am an architect/interior designer. I was born in Japan and I am based in New York City. I am 45 years old. I have more than 19 years of hospitality design experience as an interior architect. Art and Design is my passion! I hold a master Architecture degree from GSD, Harvard University, also BFA from Parsons school of design. I used to be an adjunct professor, Parsons school of design. Being Japanese, and studied in USA, and working in Scandinavian countries, made myself already intercultural. I would love to contribute my knowledge and experiences to your company. I worked on major restaurants, bars, and hotels, such as W Hotel in Mexico city, Seoul in South Korea, Washington DC, and New Orleans French Quarter. From these hotel projects I got Golden Key Awards for Lobby and Guest room design. I also designed Sushi Samba, Lotus, and Bond St. in New York. My most prominent leadership experiences as a project manager and learning are from the W hotel projects due to its vastness and complexity. Also, I won the first prize of Exhibition Design for Tekniska Museum in Stockholm, Sweden. Moreover, I worked for the branding agency, called DG in New York. I worked on several branding projects including pop-up stores, such as American Express, Microsoft, and AOL as a senior designer. Look forward to hearing from you!
