I'm an Ottawa-based interior decorator with a multidisciplinary background spanning literature and interior decorating. I believe thoughtful design begins with understanding how people live, work, and connect with their spaces. To me, a home is more than a beautiful interior—it is a place where comfort, functionality, and everyday life coexist in harmony. I approach every project with the goal of creating spaces that are not only visually compelling but genuinely livable. After completing my Interior Decorating Diploma at Algonquin College, I graduated with Dean's Honours List recognition for four consecutive terms. During my field placement at Branton Renovations, I developed a bathroom design that received client approval on its first presentation. My experience includes residential, commercial, and home staging projects, with a particular interest in FF&E selection and 3D visualization. I enjoy translating clients' needs into thoughtful design solutions that balance aesthetics with functionality while creating spaces people truly enjoy living and working in. Worked on real residential renovation projects alongside industry professionals, covering the full design process from site to presentation: · On-site measurement and as-built drawing · 3D modeling and rendering using Chief Architect · Client consultations and design concept development · Material and finish selection within project budgets (FF&E) Highlight: Independently designed an accessible bathroom addition for an aging-in-place client. The concept received client approval on first presentation, with only minor layout refinements required.
Supported day-to-day operations at a residential glazing and construction company. Handled cost estimation, invoicing, material procurement, and delivery coordination. Built practical knowledge of glass specifications, unit pricing, and supplier networks — experience that informs my understanding of material sourcing and budget management in design projects. Managed the company Facebook page, including product catalogue presentation and content updates.
Planned and delivered literature classes for over 100 students. Awarded 3rd Place in a Regional High School Curriculum Design Competition, and recognized by students as one of the most engaging teachers in the school. Developed a teaching style rooted in narrative and storytelling — an approach that continues to shape how I communicate ideas and present design concepts to clients.
