Tech lead of the core ledger team.
Built and launched these services & features: * AWS WAF (2015) * AWS WAF Regional (2016) * AWS WAF v2 (2019) * AWS WAF Bot Control (2021) * AWS WAF CAPTCHA & Account Takeover Prevention (2022) Worked on "bots intelligence" initiative. Leading an effort to build a ETL pipeline that is able to ingest, preprocess and repartition 22PB+/day (875B+ requests/day and keep growing) log records for tens of thousands of customers with highly-skewed distribution in us-east-1 region using Rust / containerization / Apache Arrow. It serves as cornerstone to provide a convenient data source for various ML models that detects advanced bots threats. This pipeline also enables AWS Shield improving its p99 time to detection from 6~12 mins to constantly below 2 mins. Prior to that, I was one of the initial 6 engineers launching the first version of AWS WAF back in 2015. I used to do full-stack development on console, customer facing APIs, change propagation, and the distributed server fleet. As the AWS WAF team continues growing, I became the tech lead of the WAF control plane team in 2019, primarily owning console, API, usage metering and customer facing visibility features.
