I’m Jayden Ho, a student at Ngee Ann Polytechnic pursuing a diploma in Engineering Science, aspiring to be a Research Engineer. I am an O'Level Graduate who studied at School of Science and Technology Singapore, developing my passion through their applied learning and STEM emphasis. Passionate about engineering, innovation, and applied science, I’ve explored these interests through conducting research projects, developing AI CV boxing software - FlowStrike, and competing in national and international robotics competitions through my CCA, Robotics @APEX. Beyond technical skills, I’ve had opportunities to lead through my role as Vice-Chairperson of Robotics@APEX, and plan events such as GIS 2023. These experiences has helped me developed hard skills such as programming, research skills and experience in engineering design, as well as soft skills such as planning and managing events. I hope to deepen my skills and learn through more experiences in the future by conducting more research projects and undergoing internships, and to continue doing what I love most.
Apart from Robotics@APEX and PSL, I participated in Science Research Competitions and AI Competitions Notable Competitions and Achievements: • Science Castle 2025 - Grand Winner • Singapore International Mathematics Challenge (SIMC), Explore Track - Most Creative Problem and Solution. List of All Science Competitions: • Elementz Fair, Opportunity X Fair, Singapore Youth Science Fair (SYSF), Singapore Science and Engineering Fair, Junior Scientist (SSEF), NJC Science Training and Research Programme (STaR), Science Castle
I participated in various competitions of different systems, ranging from LEGO, Arduino and VEX, further developing my passion in Robotics and hard skills such as programming, engineering design and more Notable Competitions and Achievements: • RoboRAVE KAGA 2024 - Line Tracing & Sumo | 2nd Place in Sumo, 20th in Line Tracing • FLL 2022 - 1st Runner Up (Overall) • SingNats VEX - OverUnder & High Stakes
• Oversaw Robotics@APEX members competition progress and ensured they were up to task, holding mock competitions within the CCA to simulate a competition environment to further modify bots as needed • Mentored VEX juniors closely, guiding them through technical and team challenges • Conducting After Action Review (AAR) to reflect on our performance, identify areas for growth, and implement feedback-driven improvements to build a competitive yet supportive VEX community • Planned and organised VIA Girls-In-Stem event to introduce 70+ P5 girls to robotics through a day of fun workshop and competition while managing 50+ volunteers
