Built a hardware platform using Xilinx-provided Video Codec Unit (VCU), Deep Learning Processing Unit (DPU), and custom image processing IPs developed via HLS. Configured a Linux-based operating system tailored to the hardware platform, including device tree and driver development. Developed user-space applications in C++ and integrated multimedia data pipelines using GStreamer and Vitis Runtime libraries. Compiled and deployed AI models on the DPU using the Vitis AI toolchain (Quantization, Pruning, and Compiling). Experienced in configuring and deploying Embedded Linux (e.g., PetaLinux) on custom SoC-based boards combining ARM processors and FPGA fabric. Responsibilities include board bring-up, bootloader and device tree configuration, kernel customization, and root filesystem integration. Developed custom kernel drivers and user-space applications to enable communication with FPGA and peripheral hardware. Strong knowledge of the entire embedded Linux stack, from low-level hardware integration to high-level application development. Responsible for the design and implementation of custom IP cores using VHDL and Verilog, with a focus on O-RU L-PHY (O-RAN Lower Physical Layer) components. Verification of these IPs was performed using cocotb-based testbenches, enabling robust simulation-driven validation. Tasks included developing synthesizable RTL modules, designing interface logic, and ensuring compliance with O-RAN specifications through rigorous testing and integration workflows.
