Youssef is driving sales within FSI at Salesforce Industries for Switzerland, Austria & CEE, Bringing strong industry expertise & solutions to Banking & Insurance clients and supporting them in digital transformations and delivering great customer experiences. Prior to that Youssef was an Executive Partner for Banking & Financial Markets in Switzerland with overall responsibility of the Banking Go-to-Market & Delivery Teams. He drove some of the most challenging transformations in Banking and was at the fore front of applying the latest innovative solutions within the market. Before his time at IBM he was heading Group COO Strategy at Credit Suisse where he drove key strategic initiatives of the Bank-wide Cost Transformation Program working closely with the different COOs and senior executives of the Bank to achieve the publicly announced 2018 cost targets. In addition, he was the Group Head of Automation, Robotics & AI. He started at Credit Suisse as the Group IT Strategy & Innovation Director where he was leading the efforts linked to the Group-wide IT strategy, innovation and market utilities. Prior to joining Credit Suisse, Youssef was heading the Financial Services Operations & IT Strategy practice at Deloitte Consulting in Belgium. He has led multiple advisory and transformation engagements at top tier FSI players in EMEA and advised clients on some key strategic and operational challenges. Youssef studied International Business at the Vlekho Business School (in association with the Catholic University Leuven - BE) and is fluent in English, French and Dutch and is at conversational level in German and Arabic.

As the Group COO Strategy Director at Credit Suisse, Youssef is driving key strategic initiatives of the Bank-wide Cost Transformation Program. He is part of the central core team driving the publically announced CHF 4.2Bn in cost savings by 2018. In addition he is responsible for the Digitization efforts across the different divisions and corporate functions (F2B Process Automation, Robotics, Machine Learning, AI,…) with the objective to increase overall adoption and increase efficiencies. Also part of his mandate is to provide market / competitive insights and provide strategic advise across the 20 streams of the Cost Transformation Program.
Youssef started at Credit Suisse as the Group IT Strategy and Innovation Director where he worked closely with senior Business and IT executives of the Bank. Besides the definition of the group-wide IT strategy, the governance and the resolution of strategic challenges, he was driving the innovation agenda of the Group. Part of his mandate was to drive the incubation efforts of innovative solutions within the Bank through the setup of a global lab strategy and ecosystem. Focus areas included Robotics, AI, Blockchain, Crowdsourcing,… In addition he headed the bank-wide robotics process automation transformation program (across Group Operations, Finance, PB, IB, HR,…) that had the objective to widely adopt and industrialize this new way of automation and to make it a key enabler to achieve the divisional cost reduction targets. Furthermore he was involved in driving the Market Utilities Strategy for the Bank.
At Deloitte Consulting Youssef was leading the Financial Services Operations & IT Strategy practice in Belgium. During his time at Deloitte he managed a number of large scale business transformations and performed more than 50 CxO advisory engagements. He has an extensive knowledge in Strategy, Operations & IT, Organisational redesign, Process Optimisation, Sourcing and Financials.
