Lead the development, establishment, and execution of Project Volta, a large-scale greenfield Central Utilities Plant (CUP) within the TA’ZIZ Derivatives Park, supporting ADNOC and ADQ’s downstream hydrocarbon complex. The project delivers critical utilities infrastructure under a long-term (25-year) Utilities Purchase Agreement (UPA) with ADNOC/ADQ as the sole offtaker (Service Management Company – SMC). ·       Provide executive leadership for the end-to-end lifecycle of the project, from development and financial structuring through engineering, construction, commissioning, and transition to full operations. ·       Lead the establishment of the Project Company (ProjCo) from inception, including corporate structuring, governance frameworks, operating model design, policies and procedures, and full corporate identity and branding. ·       Oversee TAQA’s role as lead developer, managing all project delivery aspects including the EPC contract (awarded to Alghanim International in December 2024), ensuring alignment with schedule and readiness for first tenant operations. ·       Direct high-level stakeholder engagement across TAQA, ADNOC, ADQ, regulators, and industrial tenants, ensuring alignment on strategic, commercial, and technical matters. ·       Define and implement the Operations & Maintenance (O&M) model across all phases. ·       Establish and negotiate key commercial and contractual frameworks, including Utilities Purchase Agreement (UPA), Electricity Supply Agreement (ESA), Electricity Connection Agreement (ECA), Gas Supply Agreement (GSA), and Utilities Sales Agreements (USA). ·       Drive risk management, governance, and project controls, ensuring delivery within budget, schedule, and performance targets. ·       Ensure full compliance with UAE regulatory requirements, while embedding sustainability, efficiency, and environmental best practices into project design and execution.
Manage and implement, the Road Map of TA2 rundown plan for Shut down, Decommissioning, Remediation, Disposal, Scrap selling and final clearance activities. (first Generation Company to be demolished in UAE). • Work in cooperation with the Owners Engineer consultant, environmental consultant and the legal consultant in order to develop the scope of the demolition contractor’s work and return the land to its normal condition after taking all the required approvals/compliments from the different entities without affecting the neighboring plants and disconnect from the electricity and water network in a safe and secure manner. • Acting as a Board director of Taweelah Shard Facilities company. • Responsible for controlling and minimizing risk on projects. • Direct reporting to shareholders senior management (TAQA and Marubeni). • Developing and Maintaining relationship with key stakeholders like EWEC, Civil Defense, CICPA, Department of Energy and EAD for successful project execution.
• In charge of the management, operation and maintenance of a CCGT power and desalination plant (710 MW + 50 MIGD) in TWEELAH, Abu Dhabi. • All day-to-day matters of the Company and shall take such actions within the powers hereby granted as may be required to cause the Company to carry on its business, including compliance by the Company with its obligations under the Power and Water Purchase Agreement and other ECPC Project Agreements. • Contribute in the negotiations of the Power and Water Purchase Agreement (PWPA) renewal. The project includes strategy and budget development and optimization for project development and for the next 20 years’ operation, an extended LTSA for gas & steam turbines and generators and some other major contracts.
