About

As a dedicated academic leader and theologian, I serve as Academic Dean and Assistant Professor of Biblical Studies at Bethlehem Bible College. My work is deeply rooted in the intersection of faith, justice, and the lived experience of people in Palestine and beyond. I earned my Ph.D. in Contextual Biblical Interpretations and Theologies from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, where my dissertation, "The Kingdom of God and Empires," explored contemporary Palestinian Christian contextual biblical interpretation. My academic journey is diverse and includes a Master of Divinity in Missions from Alliance Theological Seminary in New York and a Bachelor’s degree in Biblical Studies and Christian Education from Bethlehem Bible College. My Core Expertise & Impact: - Academic Leadership: Since January 2025, I have led the academic office at Bethlehem Bible College, overseeing undergraduate and graduate programs while fostering international academic collaborations. - Scholarship & Research: I specialize in teaching and lecturing on contextual theologies and biblical interpretation, Arab and Palestinian Christianity, and Christian Zionism. My research has been published in various books and journals, including recent contributions to "The Cross and the Olive Tree" and "Theology After Gaza". - Global Advocacy & Lecturing: I am a frequent speaker at international forums, having presented research at SBL Annual Conference and American Academy of Religion (2024 and 2025), the Peacebuilding Summit in London, and the Ecumenical Conference in Sweden. - Community & Institutional Building: I am proud to have co-founded the Digital Palestinian Theology Library and the Journal of Palestinian Christianity. I also serve on several influential boards, including Kairos Palestine and the Accreditation Commission-MENATA. I am passionate about supervising research that explores complex themes such as the intersection of theology with settler-colonialism, migration, and public theology. My goal is to use education as a tool for resilience and to develop "conscious and enlightened" thought within my unique context and worldwide.
