I'm a cybersecurity professional passionate about Computer Networks and Security. My diverse experience in this fascinating field spans technically and culturally diverse environments starting back in Silicon Valley, to Europe and Africa, across a diverse set of industries including Big-Tech, government, telecom and data-centre service-provider, and financial services. During the past experience I developed skillsets in Cybersecurity Architecture & Engineering as well as Operations that includes prioritising security concerns and developing mitigation strategies and automation of processes, developing detection technologies and investigating cyber attacks when responding to critical incidents as well as reverse engineering malware. My Architecture & Engineering experience covers various implementation models that include on-premise and cloud leveraging multi-vendor and open-source technologies, Penetration Testing, Secure Software Development and baking security into various technologies. I'm passionate about developing and building versatile security solutions (such as PKI) based on open-source software at scale meeting customer requirements to maximise ROI for my organisation while improving the security posture of the infrastructure and managing its risks. I've promoted open-source internet security software. I founded and lead the OWASP Chapter for Sheffield (UK) to train local IT professionals and students on the latest in IT security. I enjoy contributing in international cyber-security related conferences with the goal of developing and exchanging knowledge and ideas in the realm that I'm in love with. As part of my passion for ideas development and spreading, I founded the TEDx conference at my university (Sheffield Hallam University) and lead a team to organise a brilliant event for a platform of sharing new ideas, and training speakers to deliver fantastic TED style talks that were published on the TEDx channels.
