• Analyze financial and pricing information in relation to business strategy to help determine any related financial risks to the organization. • Involved in daily pricing activities for new business and Inforce clients Group Pension Plans. • Help develop and maintain dynamic financial models and tools to support, simplify and automate processes related to pricing of new and existing business. • Collaborate and consult with the internal & external members of the Sales teams along with other internal departments on pre-sale pricing exercises, repricing situations and client retention efforts across all retirement products. • Represent the Pricing team as a subject matter expert for assigned projects and pricing related matters. • Challenge the status quo and work with the team to develop new tools, process efficiencies and automated solutions to meet internal and external customer demands. • Support and analyze key strategic pricing initiatives aimed at improving profitability, increasing revenue, risk management, competitiveness and growth through market, cost and profitability analysis. • Be able to manipulate large and complex data sets and create and modify financial models, leveraging advanced excel capabilities.
• Setup more than 60 new business and more than 200 amendment for inforce client. • Investigating issues regarding all Group Retirement Plans Manulife maintained, work type including Repricing, Fund Rationalization, Compensation, Amendment and New Issue. • Providing solutions and developing proposals in a timely and accurate manner, to meet the client’s requirements • Finding opportunities on how to improve customer experience and how to improve current working processes to make it efficient and effective. • Maintaining in-force client’s and preparing onboarding clients’ Group Retirement Plans, providing customized needs based on different sponsors’ requirements, which including system design, administration and reviewing Group Retirement Plans’ documents to make sure they meet the regulatory and legislative requirements. • Handling all escalation requests about Group Retirement Plans setup on a rush and emerging basis, normally resolved within 8 hours. • Working closely with regulators, which including CRA, FSRA, OSFI and all other jurisdictional regulators. Frequently checking regulatory processes and legislative requirement, filing the amendment documents and newly setup materials. • Coordinate Fund transfer/Asset transfer with the client's previous carriers.
