In my role as a Talent Acquisition Intern at KPMG Malaysia, I was entrusted with the significant responsibility of supporting recruitment efforts across multiple business functions, including Marketing, Learning & Development, and IT Services. This position required a deep understanding of the specific needs and nuances of each department, which I achieved by working closely with hiring managers. By maintaining open lines of communication, I was able to grasp not only the technical requirements but also the soft skills and cultural fit desired for each role. Daily tasks involved rigorous candidate evaluations, where I conducted 100 resume screenings and 15 phone screenings. This high volume of interactions honed my ability to quickly and accurately assess candidate qualifications against a diverse set of criteria. The insights gained from these screenings were crucial in selecting the most suitable candidates for further evaluation. I involved in coordinating schedules, preparing interview materials, and ensuring that both candidates and hiring managers were well-prepared for each session. The efficient organization of these interviews played a key role in the smooth running of the recruitment process. A significant achievement of my internship was the successful recruitment and placement of over 15 candidates across various business functions. This accomplishment not only demonstrated my ability to manage and execute the end-to-end recruitment process effectively but also highlighted my contributions to the growth and development of the company's workforce. Overall, my experience as a Talent Acquisition Vacation Trainee at KPMG Malaysia provided me with invaluable insights into the complexities of recruiting for a leading global firm. It challenged me to apply my theoretical knowledge in a practical setting, enhancing my professional skills and contributing to my growth in the field of human resources.
After completing high school, I took a valuable gap year and worked with a construction company. I had the privilege of representing the company in a project showcase, and we successfully secured the project bid. This experience allowed me to develop not only my professional skills but also a profound sense of responsibility.
