1) Oversaw the operations of a pilot plant test program and collaborated with external vendors to conduct essential test work critical for advancing Definitive Feasibility Studies (DFS). Identified areas for improvement and delivered findings and recommendations to client with largest lithium project in Europe. 2) Prepared the Preliminary Feasibility Study (PFS) report for a leading battery metal firm. - Performed laboratory testwork for mineral processing clients, which included leaching, thickening, filtration, rheology, screening and milling. - Cooperate with the Laboratory Manager in analysing data collected from testwork. Provide feedback and solutions from data received to ensure the results assist with clients' planning for projects. - Assist the Laboratory Manager in training new volunteers, guiding them in performing the testwork.
Involved with two major projects which were (Ardea) Extraction of Nickle and Cobolt metals and (Telfer) Leaching Process in extracting Gold and Copper metals. I also participated in smaller projects which were neutralising site water and equipment set-up for a few projects. General Responsibilities: - Participate in start-up activities such as equipment testing, Chemical Preparation, maintenance and operation procedures in a mining operation industry. These activities are to ensure the pilot plant is operating in a safe condition and meet clients' business objective. - Cooperate with both day and night shift team with proper shift handover to ensure the operation runs continuously. - Display excellent risk analysis when handling hazardous chemicals by following the Australia Standards for Hazardous Substances and Dangerous Goods. - Proper housekeeping is carried out on-site to ensure the work areas are clean and dry. Main responsibilities with Ardea project: - Was stationed in looking after Iron Removal, Pre-reduction and Tailings Neutralisation section of the plant. - Involved with hands-on fixing such as maintenance and resolving any issues arises during the process. - Involved in batch laboratory work, whereby I compare the ORP values between Sodium HydroSulfide (NaSH) prepare onside and a freshly prepared NaSH. Main Responsibilities with Telfer Project: - Involved with filtration using a manual filter press and sample preparation. - Ensured the filter cake produced met the specifications required from clients. - Pulverised solid dried sample and sent it out for assay analysis.
