Singapore, Singapore
I am a Year 2 Chemical Engineering undergraduate at the National University of Singapore, specializing in Biopharmaceutical Engineering. My interests lie in bioprocess innovation and sustainable technologies, with the goal of contributing to impactful healthcare and environmental solutions. Previously, I interned at Procter & Gamble, where I led a feasibility study on alternative reagents that identified potential raw material savings of $1.2M annually. I am currently researching CO₂ fixation in cyanobacteria to enhance biopolymer production through photosensitive and piezoelectric material-mediated pathways.
- Researched cyanobacteria-gold nanocluster biohybrids to explore strategies for enhancing photosynthetic efficiency in engineered microbial systems for bioproduction applications. - Performed gold nanocluster synthesis, purification, and culture-based incubation studies to assess growth effects, uptake behavior, and ligand-dependent interactions with cyanobacteria. - Applied Dual-PAM analysis to measure chlorophyll fluorescence and P700 kinetics, enabling evaluation of PSII and PSI performance under nanoparticle treatment.
Supply Assistant, NSF IC - Led a team of 7 NSF as the in-charge, overseeing daily operations, task delegation and discipline - Chaired the planning and execution of unit cohesion events, managing budgeting, vendor communication, procurement, and task distribution. - Coordinated ferry services and traffic control operations for four large-scale events with over 1,000 guests, including VIPs such as Ministers and Service Chiefs. - Managed HR administration processes (onboarding, compliance, and workforce planning), ensuring smooth and efficient personnel operations.
- Led a feasibility study on alternative reagents in oleochemical processes to improve operational efficiency; simulated plant operating conditions with a rotary evaporator to assess maximum yield, evaluate stability under extreme conditions, and identify degradation pathways for process optimization. - Consolidated key findings into actionable recommendations for senior leadership, contributing to a projected USD 1.2M annual savings in raw material costs. - Investigated root causes of high colour in methyl ester products, focusing on thermal effects, oxidative reactions, and metal-catalyzed degradation. - Partnered with internal teams and technology vendors to qualify and launch a pilot of water treatment technology for plant wastewater
