I am a Plastic Surgery Microsurgical Fellow with a strong academic and clinical background. I graduated from Barts and The London School of Medicine with an MBBS and an intercalated BSc in Neuroscience, achieving First Class Honours. I hold an MSc (Distinction) in Surgical Sciences from the University of Edinburgh and have completed the MRCS and MRCP postgraduate qualifications. I am also a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in Plastic Surgery (FRCS Plast) and of the European Board of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery (FEBOPRAS). Additionally, I hold an Executive MBA (EMBA). Throughout my career, I have authored over 50 peer-reviewed publications and book chapters, and delivered numerous national and international presentations. I have also led and organised multiple healthcare events on both national and international platforms. Highly motivated and results-driven, I am passionate about combining clinical excellence, academic research, and strategic leadership to drive meaningful impact in the field of plastic and reconstructive surgery.
The Academic Surgical Collaborative (ASC) was established in October 2014 and is registered with the National Research Collaborative. The ASC's focus is on meta-research such as evidence synthesis and the critical appraisal of the methodological and reporting quality of research. The endeavors of the ASC have led to multiple awards, presentations at national and international level and publications of many of its projects in peer-reviewed journals. As assistant project manager my role involves: • Overseeing and following-up all conference and journal submissions. • Ensuring authors or nominated others attend the relevant conference. • Maintaining the smooth running of the ASC through effective project management.
