Yasser Salah Al-Jaidah is the newly appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of United Development Company (UDC), effective January 19, 2025. Prior to this, he served as the CEO of Qatar Cool, where he led the company’s expansion and strategic investments in the energy and utilities sectors. Before joining Qatar Cool, he was the General Manager and Director of South Hook LNG in the UK, overseeing the largest liquefied natural gas terminal in Western Europe, which supplied 20% of the UK’s LNG consumption. His extensive career in the energy industry includes pivotal roles at RasGas, where he established the company’s first liaison office in Korea and led the Inlet Facilities Project for the RasGas expansion phase two. He was also seconded to ExxonMobil as a Project Execution Engineer in Houston, Texas. With a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Missouri, an Executive MBA from HEC Paris in Shanghai, and a Project Management Professional (PMP®) certification, he has a strong technical and business foundation. His leadership spans projects across four continents in countries such as Qatar, Korea, Japan, France, Norway, the USA, Italy, Singapore, and the UK. He is an active member of the International District Energy Association (IDEA) and the Abdullah Bin Hamad Al-Attiyah International Foundation for Energy & Sustainable Development. Recognized for his ability to drive organizational transformation, he significantly enhanced Qatar Cool’s financial and operational performance. Now at UDC, he is set to continue the company’s trajectory of growth and innovation in the real estate development sector.

SHLNG is part of the Qatargas 2 integrated Value Chain and one of the largest Liquefied Natural Gas (“LNG”) re-gasification terminals in Europe. The Terminal provides the UK approx. 20% its natural gas requirements. State of the art, double-hulled ships bring LNG into the Terminal from Qatar, where it is converted from a liquid form back into gas which is then delivered to the UK’s homes and business via the National Grid. The Terminal is groundbreaking in terms of size and strategic importance, and is a major contributor to the UK’s energy policy needs and wider economy. The Terminal’s site in Milford Haven, Pembrokeshire has had a significant positive impact in terms of the local economy and employment prospects in West Wales and nationally. I have overall accountability for the planning, management and direction of the day-to-day aspects of the business of the company subject to such policies and directives as the Board may adopt. I manage all external interfaces with other parties; local and national authorities, regulatory bodies, Transco, LNG shippers and lenders. I report and update the Board and shareholders on a regular basis. I also have ultimate responsibility for the safe, efficient and reliable operation of the Terminal in a highly regulated environment.
• Established the First international office for RasGas in South Korea • Directing, managing and overseeing all activities for the RasGas Korea Office. • Directing market intelligence; providing ongoing assessments of Korean and world markets. • Directing and effectively implementing commercial strategies in Korea. • Managing critical communications with customers, senior, and working level managements. • Formulating and communicating commercial strategies, recommendations, and action plans for complex operating strategies to RasGas Headquarters. • Providing support with cargo scheduling, correlation tests and ship/shore compatibility. • Recruiting, mentoring and supervising senior staff, non-senior staff and graduate trainees. • Communicating best practices and improvement. • Ensuring highest development of staff to maximize potential & interests. • Stewardship of budget, personnel and business objectives. • Overseeing communication of government and business requirements, procedures, customs, restrictions, and registrations to effectively implement existing sales and increase future sales into Korea.
• Leading and managing all execution aspects of the onshore Process and Utilities. • Developing contracting strategy that involves establishing a work break structure and related compensation. • Development of an integrated schedule and its optimal integration into the overall project schedule. • Leading development of both business and technical gate deliverables and their associated optimization for all project phases. • Leading development of Scope of Work and Execution requirements for the onshore Pre- Front End Engineering, Front End Engineering, and Engineering Procurement and Construction. • Leading development of invitation to tender documents at all phases. • Managing pre-qualifications, preparation of bid invitations, Commercial and technical bid evaluation, award, contract execution, and contract close-out. • Management of interfaces. • Overseeing Cost and schedule associated with both owner and project.
• Developing and writing project plans and procedures • Coordinating the development of the overall Project Plan • Interfacing with the multiple disciplines that are required to provide input and ensuring that the plan is well integrated and sound • Facilitating workshops and training activities • Developing and stewarding of work plans and budgets • Maintaining project registers for issues resolution and other required actions • Managing the interfaces between the Project and Operations and between Project Contractors • Monitoring Project Team activities for compliance to approved plans • Monitoring and appraising Contractors compliance to approved plans • Reporting of project progress and status • Updating COST manager. • Team Tracker implementation. • Assisting with scheduling activities. • Performing cost estimating. • Developing a Project Controls Implementation Plan for three Deep Water Nigerian Projects (Erha North, Bosi, and Uge). • Assisting with the development of the Erha North, Bosi, and Uge Projects Controls Plan and Systems in the time between different phases. • Participating in bid evaluation and assist in development of the Erha North, Bosi, and Uge estimate (above one billion dollar projects). • Other Cost & Schedule tasks.
