Lahore District, Punjab, Pakistan
I am given the responsibility to head the Sales & Marketing and the Commercial Operations of the Terry Business of Roomi Fabrics Limited.
I was given the responsibility to set up and lead a Sales & Marketing Department to streamline and develop a systematic work flow to ensure higher levels of customer satisfaction. I was also responsible to develop sales and continue the trajectory of expansion in the company.
I was responsible for leading the sales efforts of Indus Home Limited, one of the largest towel manufacturing units in Pakistan. I was assigned the task of consolidating sales with some of the well established customers in USA and develop new customer base in UK, Europe and other (non-conventional) markets. In addition to managing the perpetual business of the company, I was able to develop a new portfolio of customers worth about $ 20 million (annually). I got the opportunity to work very closely with Mian Irfan (CEO). I learned and benefited from his vast experience and knowledge of yarns (raw material) and operation controls.
I started a small scale entrepreneurial venture with my father in the FMCG sector. I saw a lot of potential in the food and beverages market in our country, hence we decided to set a small production plant which started from producing fruit juices packaged in PET bottles. We tried to create a new brand and target a niche in the market. I was more involved in the sales & marketing efforts of the brands we created in addition to overlooking the production and financial matters.
I was heading the Sales & Marketing efforts of Pak eVentures, a business line of Confiz Solutions. Pak eVentures was a web media publishing company with popular portals like PakWheels.com, TringTring.com etc. to its credit. During my short stay in Confiz, I contributed in product development for generating revenue and marketing strategy for wider brand awareness. I was reporting to Raza Saeed, who has played an important role in enhancing my futuristic approach.
