Professionally I’ve been in practice for over 30 years with diversified international caliber institutions in the fields of Audit, Corporate Consultancy, and Corporate Banking; focusing on regional Property and Real Estate Investment for the past 13 years, including global exposure in the US and Europe. Throughout my career, I gathered sound financial, legal, operational, negotiation, and transactional know-how. My most significant transactional experience was the launch of publicly traded REIT, amongst other significant acquisition and disposal transactions; currently overseeing AUMs above SAR2.0b. Academically, I am Bachelor graduate of Accounting, a certified SOCPA (none-practicing) and I am a CMA certified investment manager. Personally, I am a Saudi national, born in Germany, stemming from an academic family; well known in the field of literature, I grew up in a multicultural/lingual environment (Saudi Father / German Mother). I enjoyed worldwide traveling and a wide range of personal activities and interests, including mountaineering, having summited 3 mountains and reached an altitude of 6,800m above sea level. In terms of skills, I like to describe myself as the “Jack of all Trades and Master of all Tasks at Hand” based on the diversity I enjoyed through my career and the flexibility of my inherited nature. Thus, I consider myself to be an executive executer, driven by targets, and a responsible leader of my team, with deep sight on details providing me with in-depth analytical abilities. My cultural multiplicity allowed me to be a natural communicator and charismatic presenter to my investors, clients and teammates; having experienced live TV appearance and press interviews, specifically during the launch of the above-mentioned REIT. - From January 2010 to date, - Establishing a wide range of real estate investmnet funds, from low-risk core income funds to medium/high-risk opportunistic development funds that invest in a wide range of property classes, - Responsibilities cover the establishment of the fund from conceptualization, deal sourcing and securing, legal documentation with lawyers, the establishment of the fund through the regulatory body, preparation of offering package, the ongoing management of the fund and its activities in collaboration with its board, advisors, developers, administrator as well as custodian.
– Corporate and Investment Banking Division (CIBD), appointed to establish the “Regional Supervision Office” (within the Citibank manuals at the time), – Directly reporting to Regional Manager of CIBD, heading MIS, Compliance and Admin, – Managing the regional portfolio budgeting process, forecast tracking, quarterly reporting with Country Supervision and MENA region, – Year on Compliance and COB testing, KYC and AML management in line with SAMA regulations and internal policies and procedures, – Management of all internal staff affairs such as annual credit reviews, training planning and execution, vacation planning amongst all other internal affairs for the Regional Manager Office.
