Yash Varma is a seasoned tech founder, investor, high performance coach and lover of life. He is a global citizen having lived and worked in Australia, UK and Switzerland. Yash has a Bachelor of Information Technology on Scholarship from the University of Technology, Sydney. He has also been studying Artificial Intelligence at Stanford University as part of their continuing education program. He has a strong career background in technology and innovation having founded and exited global software consultancy Spaarks with offices in London, Glasgow and Canberra. During his 20+ years at Spaarks he has worked with multinational clients such as Deutsche Bank and Phillips developing multi million dollar software solutions in use by hundreds of thousands of corporate users. Yash founded this company and knows the hard journey a founder has ahead to be able to succeed over the long term and would like to be able to support other founders on their journey. Yash believes in building businesses based on hard work and values. This is reflected in all businesses he has been involved with, including most recently, Empress Capital. Yash is a certified high-performance coach working with business founders and teams to develop a high-performance culture in everything they do in and out of work. Yash has been a successful Angel investor gaining 10X growth on recent investments. He is an investor in many listed companies, being an early investor in companies such as Tesla and Moderna. He is an advisor to many startups and a Mentor with Energy Labs. Yash supports many charities and led the Canberra Chapter of Room to Read a charity focusing on children’s literacy and girls’ education across Asia and Africa. He has a love of food, family and fun. He married his high school sweetheart and has 3 children and a puppy. Yash lives by 3 words at the front of his mind every day: Love, Joy and Contribute.
