A dynamic, adaptable, and tenacious student who strives for growth, experience, and engagement in whatever he does. My liberal arts education at SSLA helps me hone my belief that art neither arises from nor stays in vacuum. Therefore, I stand by the power of creative expression to spread the light of knowledge, positivity, relatability, entertainment, and experience. Striving to grow and hone my passions for writing, editing, acting, singing, and performing arts.

As one of Raah's storytellers, I perform theme-based performances as a part of the venue's Tales N' Twists event. I enjoy sharing stories from across media, themes, and perspectives, putting to practise various perspectives I engage with in Literature, Sociology, Culture, and Theatre through my experimentations with various forms and styles of storytelling and performance.
During his internship, Yashit assisted in managing an intimate performance space. This included coordination of the programmes held at Raah and handling social media for the same. Yashit actively brainstormed and researched about events and artists - keeping audience interests and Raah's values in mind. He connected with various artists to converse about their work, intimate them about Raah and the features of its space, and assist them with their events at Raah. This not only included setting-up the space for events, but also their social media promotion. He created and edited content (written and video), designed posters, and managed Raah's social media accounts (WhatsApp Broadcast, Instagram and Facebook) with the Programme Marketing Executive. He kept himself updated about social media tools and features and utilized outreach insights to grow Raah's visibility and following. As a performer himself, he devised and performed theme-based pieces as a part of our monthly storytelling event, Tales N' Twists. While he performed twice during his internship, he continues to share stories from across media, themes, and perspectives each month at Raah as one of their storytellers.
I headed the club and its Social Media team by ideating, organizing, and communicating logistics with college administration and the student body to organize various club events including theatre activities, talks, and workshops. The role also gave me the opportunity to co-create, co-direct, and perform in three original productions this academic year: Bhoot Bazar - an experimental, physical, non-verbal play exploring the demolition of tapris for halloween (31st Oct) (Hum) Dard, Safar, Nawa - an episodic play exploring various forms and expressions of love as a part of the college Fundraiser (8th March) The Little Prince - an adaptation of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry's novella set in Pune; exploring gendered journeys, natural-resource exploitation and climate change
Member of the cast and music team at SSLA's annual theatre production, 'Presents.'
I was responsible for writing content about the organisation's projects for their upcoming website, writing gripping blogs about their activities, and editing write-ups by other members through personally connecting with them. I cannot thank the NGO enough for all their encouragement and support, since they allowed me to explore a variety of my interests while planning my tenure. This included on-field English and Math teaching, art and craft, and story-telling. I also had the opportunity to collaborate with experienced social workers and assisted them in scripting, staging, and acting in Nataks inspired by community challenges to clear misconceptions around RTE and relate the importance of education. This internship helped me gain an in-depth understanding of the functioning of the NGO; a leader in the Pune Social Work Network; their flagship projects, and exposed me to many insights into social work itself, such as a personal perspective into marginalized communities and the challenges in the implementation of legal policies. DSSF was also very open to all my suggestions and ideas for its website, the number of on-field teachers, and future collaborations.
