Over 5 years of experience working with Amazon-scale distributed systems. Enhanced, built, and scaled multiple Tier-1 (high-availability) services. Over my tenure here, I've been an SME across two major foundational domains: Digital Cataloguing and Global Taxation systems (love the scale). REAL TALK!!??: I like to take complete ownership of things. Primarily when 1) I truly believe in the thing (say product) or 2) there’s an associated consequence (say product I own breaks). I genuinely love the business and thrive in tech operations. Being a “why” person: you'd often seeing me go from why that NPE happened, to why do we need that product at all?
- Leading: - Multi-org/multi-year architectural unification roadmap for the Indirect and Direct Tax verticals: collecting validating and vending entity information for all business verticals WW in Amazon. - Leading the biggest live DB migration in the charter's history (X billion items). 95% reduction in unnecessary infra components, simplifying encryption stacks, ww replication, next gen warehouse etc. - Operations lead for systems serving Tier-1 traffic at Amazon scale (LOVE it when I sleep well, love it MORE when I am paged at 2 AM). - Striving to be SME for what I call "anything anywhere any-business indirect-tax-engineering" - Trying to pay off the tech debt accumulated over the last decade, whilst building for the next :)] - ALSO, personal favourite: authored 5 COEs till now :)
