Feature analysis based on requirement analysis, test plan definition and follow-up, execution/automation of 5G features including: - Ultra-low latency - MU-MIMO - Beamforming - General 5G core functions (SA/NSA, link adaptation, PDCCH, ...) - PDCP flow control Test were done by using Keysight or in-house UE simulator (Airphone). Test were automated by using Robot framework and Python Follow-up of non-regression of automated CI tests.
The main part of my job was to check the good behaviour of the eNodeB using various tools such as the Prisma, Ercom, Spirent, Qualcommm UEs. I was in charged of various topics including: - Capacity testings of eNB about eMBMS, DRX, OOT, ... (results analysis , KPIs assessment according to specifications) - Ciphering and integrity over the air interface. - Uplink power control and radio channel performances. - QoS management. - RoHC (Robust Header Compression) for IPv4 and IPV6 - VoLTE with SPS
Contrary to my previous experience mainly based on development I mainly focused on test and validation of the WiMAX access controller. This enables me to understand how an IP network works from an end to end point of view using RFC and other IEEE specifications. This experience also enables me to understand how an IP network works from an end to end point of view including gateways and SBC used for VoIP networks, systems used for authentication and accounting (AAAs) and also HA used for mobile IP communications. Access controllers were also built as a cluster using a redundancy protocol like VRRP.
I mainly worked on definition, development and tests of low level layers software embedded in GSM/GPRS mobile phones. I learned a lot about software development during those 8 years (especially software methodology, configuration management using Clearcase and deep knowledge of C language for embedded systems) Working environment: C, ARM7, Clearcase
