Report to Plant Manager, responsible for manufacturing process development and continuous improvement, I manage a team of +40 people through 5 direct reports in charge of : - Set up the manufacturing lean lines (machines, routers, processes), - Manage articles, BOMs, routers in our systems (PLM, Wiplink, Baan), - Lead product qualifications, - Improve process capabilities and reduce product costs, - Define and implement investment strategy (~10m€ per year), - Support production, EHS, quality and maintenance teams, - Track tools & supplies costs, - Participate & promote kaizen events (lean manufacturing strategy).
Report to Bucket Operations Manager, responsible for all Quality Assurance functions and manage a team of fifteen direct reports with the main following missions: - Develop the roadmap for improvements and enforcement of quality best practices and expectations throughout the supply chain, - Lead root cause analysis and initiate corrective actions or design/specifications changes, - Provide replies to customer claims and manage corrective actions when required, - Coordinate internal audits, identify potential compliance issues and recommende opportunities for process changes & improvements, - Define and update laboratory procedures and standard control instruction sheet, - Drive continuous improvement & monitor KPIs, Thanks to the actions taken in 2018, the scrap rate has been cut by 32% in 2019.
Involved in a team to follow all new developments for combustion parts and placed as the coating expert. For each new product: - Review the design and provide recommendations to improve quality and manufacturability, - Participate to the bid review and decide the supply chain with the sourcing team, - Define the manufacturing processes & clarify technical points with suppliers, - Follow the manufacturing developments and ensure quality and schedule expectations, - Evaluate supplier’s qualifications: review procedures, qualifications results & inspection plans, - Act as a technical link between Operations and Engineering teams, - Support colleagues for coating developments. The main project I led was the introduction of the new combustor system for our heaviest 9HA frame : all the components have been manufactured and installed on time on the turbine, within the customer’s requirements.
Linked with commercial and manufacturing teams, I have managed a team of 4 technicians responsible of: - Procurement of the raw material and trade parts needed for each special machines, - Define the manufacturing processes and the router for each part in accordance with customer's specifications, - Management of the cost and schedule of each project. Deliver special machines and equipment such as: missile loader for the submarine “Le Triomphant”, cleaning equipment for huge steel line.
