Involved in the ESA CCI sea ice project at the Institut für Meereskunde, concerned with the data assimilation of satellite sea ice data based on coupled model MITgcm with the adjoint methodology, we aim to provide dynamical consistent assimilated sea ice variables that are closer to observations, to gain insights and knowledge of sea ice dynamics and its potential role in climate prediction and variability.
