I graduated with a BA (Hons) in History and a Minor in Global Affairs at Yale-NUS College, and subsequently earned a Post-Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) at the National Institute of Education, Singapore. I am currently a History and Social Studies educator in a secondary school. With diverse teaching, volunteering and community outreach experiences, my interests lie in community-building, social justice and education. Additionally equipped with skills in public speaking, writing and critical analysis, research and community liaisons.
I devise learning and assessment resources pertaining to History and Social Studies for students aged 12-18 years. In my capacity as Chairperson of the Staff Well-being Committee from 2024-2025, I led a 9-member team to orchestrate organisation-wide engagement events for over 130 staff, implementing a diverse array of wellness initiatives that leveraged on data-driven insights to foster a positive workplace culture. Recognised with national and organisational awards for service excellence, leadership, and innovation.
Provided mentorship and support to a group of 12 first-years, assisting in their transition to residential and academic life in college, and collaborated with fellow RCAs to organise campus-wide events to promote college identity and bonding.
Supported the President's Office in planning events for the History Faculty and conducting source-based research into the pre-colonial history of Singapore.
Supported classes of students with autism, and provided relief-teaching for Social Studies to Secondary 4E/5N students.
