Austin Winter Storm Quality Impact Project: As an emergency project after the Austin Winter Storm power outage disaster, developed a statistical analytic application to automatically run analyses on manufacturing yield data of all the product families, visualized results in a Shiny application with prepared reports. Achieved to complete over 3000 analysis jobs over 2 weeks. This application has made a significant contribution for evaluating the quality impact of the Winter Storm and helping the factories to recover from the disaster. Manufacturing Big Data Projects: Developed two complex analytic applications on Hadoop: an automated Change Point Detection Application for analyzing drifts in manufacturing testing data, and a split and comparison analysis Application for manufacturing quality assurance. - In the backend, used Sparklyr and Scala for efficiently accessing and applying statistical analysis on large amount of data stored in Hadoop. - In the frontend, developed sophisticated Shiny UI with the ability of drilling down to different dimensions of the data, visualizing results and providing insights into analysis results. - Automated analysis process to provide early warnings for manufacturing quality control. - Continuously enhanced application performance by Spark tuning and algorithm optimization. - Worked closely with key users, communicating and implementing users' requests to the app development.
