I have devoted my educational career to investigating the ins and outs of Chinese and American politics and history. I want to use this knowledge and my honed research skills to advise policy-makers about building productive and peaceful political relationships that bridge the Pacific.

    - Assisted Hoover fellows and visiting scholars with China-related research project, which addressed topics including the Diaoyu Island and South China Sea Disputes, Taiwan Strait relations, US-China-Japan relations, elite politics, and Chinese economic developments. - Consulted modern Chinese primary sources and analyzed their contemporary ramifications. - Contributed to books including The Search for Modern China, Third Edition (W. W. Norton & Company, 2012) and Not Quite a Protege: Inside the relations between Taiwan and the United States (Harvard University Press, 2016). - Drafted scripts for a documentary on Chiang Kai-shek and modern China produced by China Central Television; prepared Hoover’s 2014 presentation to Ma Ying-jeou. - Coordinated Hoover’s annual workshop on China and other field-specific events.
