- Lead multidisciplinary day and shift teams (5 engineers, 50 technicians, 66 workers) in mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, refractory, and hydraulic maintenance. - Oversaw preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance operations, ensuring high equipment reliability and operational efficiency. - Promoted a strong safety culture (zero-accident goal) through systematic risk analysis, SAP-based lockout/tagout procedures, and regular field audits (LMRA, work permits, site inspections). - Management of an annual maintenance budget of over 22 million euros, and participation in the CAPEX plan. - Strengthened operational reliability: reduced technical downtime (FTT), implemented Root Cause Analysis (RCA) processes, deployed predictive maintenance tools, and rolled out 5S programs across departments. - Fostered talent development: implemented succession plans, continuous technical training programs, and promoted two-way communication within teams. - Provided monthly KPI reporting (safety, downtime, budget) directly to executive leadership.

5nPlus is the leading producer of specialty metal and chemical products. Fully integrated with closed-loop recycling facilities, the Company is headquartered in Montreal, Quebec and operates manufacturing facilities and sales offices in several locations in Europe, the Americas and Asia. 5n Plus deploys a range of proprietary technologies to produce products which are used in a number of advanced pharmaceutical, electronic and industrial applications. Typical products include purified metals such as bismuth, gallium, germanium, indium, selenium and tellurium, inorganic chemicals based on such metals. Many of these are key enablers in market such as solar, light-emitting diodes and eco-friendly materials. In the Belgian "Great Seveso" plant, we mainly focus on the treatment and refining Bismuth from lead-bismuth alloys, a unique in the world process. As project manager, tasks are: > Manage the annual investment plan by dividing the different projects following priorities, production requirements and workload of the project department. > Study and prepare new projects to establish appropriate investment request > Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers and subcontractors, while respecting procurement procedures and budgets. > Conduct site meetings and contacts with contractors, architects and design offices. > Coordinate various projects to avoid interaction issues and be the link between the project team and operational services. > Ensure compliance with the safety and environmental rules : Contacts with notified bodies, local authorities, fire department, DCRC (Belgian Department for the supervision of chemical risks) > Ensure the transfer of the project to the operational services (maintenance and production) by implementing the necessary training and updating the machines files (archiving). > Be the technical reference for any meeting / decision relating to Tilly site.
> Managed a team of 12 members, budget monitoring, coordination with other services (production, laboratory...), contact with subcontractors, utilities management: networks (reagents, steam, compressed air…), waste water treatment plant… > Establishment of a preventive maintenance plan. > Organized the transition to an outsourced maintenance service. > Continuous improvement of the plant in the HSE, mechanical, electrical and automation sectors in order to reduce the risks and costs while increasing the reliability and productivity > Managed small projects (under 100k€). > Established “technical folders” to ensure the saving of the technical data and an equipment identification process to manage the facilities monitoring. > Member of the internal Committee for Prevention and Protection at Work.
> Daily monitoring of the quality and availability of raw materials (iron ore and coke) and of the production parameters with modification if necessary. > Managed a team of 90 workers in a non-stop work service, HR management in collaboration with the trade unions. > Daily contacts with the internal suppliers of raw-materials (Coke and Sinter plants) and with the “customer” (steel plant). > Budget monitoring and reporting to the top-management on a weekly and monthly basis. > Took part at the blast furnace revamping in 2007 (3 months shutdown) > Organized the scheduled shutdowns with the mechanical and electrical maintenance services.
