About

Hi! My name is Xander Danner. I am a rising senior in the College of Business at Ohio University. I am pursuing a quadruple major here at OU: Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics, and Business Pre-Law. I am very dependable as a worker and looking for summer jobs or internships. Eager and open to any role. Along with my education, I am a proud member of the Ohio University Student Equity Management Group, Men's Division II Club Hockey Team, and a previous member of Hall Council here at Ohio University. In the summer of 2024, I completed an internship with Six Flags Entertainment Corporation, where I facilitated in writing up 60,000+ fixed asset subledgers to determine asset classes and useful lives during the merger process between Six Flags and Cedar Fair. I also depreciated long-term projects, such as the Knott’s Berry Farm Hotel construction, identifying potential tax variances and invoicing new purchases for the project. Along with all of this, I also attended biweekly accounting workshops, expanding my knowledge in various sectors to learn more about Six Flags. During the summers of 2022 and 2023 I worked for Freedom Boat Club at Battery Park Marina in Sandusky, Ohio. I would spend my days cleaning boats for renters to use, then I would fill them up with gas and maneuver them back into their dock slips. In the summers of 2020 and 2021 I was a mechanic assistant and part of the cleaning crew at Marine Tech Concepts in Marblehead, Ohio. There I was challenged to travel to different marinas with licensed mechanics to fix and clean boats. Along with the jobs I have in the summers above, I also own and operate my own lawn mowing business. Xander's Lawn Mowing Business, established in 2019, is a small ongoing business I have created where I mow customers lawns over the entire summer, or over a week or few weeks span if they go on vacation. Overall, I am experienced and coachable, open to opportunities and excited to expand my career in the near future.
